Tomb Raider Anniversary Heading for Xbox 360

Tomb Raider Anniversary was released a few weeks ago on the PC (Games for Windows) and PS2, and is to be released onto PSP next month. However Edios have also confirmed that the game will be released onto the 360, in more ways than one......

A great deal has happened in the ten years or so since Lara Croft took her first groundbreaking steps into the limelight with Tomb Raider – thirty two million copies sold, two generations of hardware, the graphical quantum leaps they’ve delivered and a good few sequels for starters. So it’s time the old girl’s earliest outing was reappraised, don’t you think?

And that’s just what Tomb Raider: Anniversary offers, and in a number of thoroughly compelling ways. Firstly fans of the original Tomb Raider will recognise plenty here, but they’ll be totally blown away by the way the game’s been re-imagined using the graphics engine that powers the excellent Tomb Raider: Legend. Backgrounds are moodier and more detailed, the action’s smoother and Ms. Croft herself has never looked so, well, svelte. Woof! Ahem…

Anniversary’s gameplay has been given a hefty tweak too – we’re talking extra puzzles, expanded gameplay environments, dazzling acrobatics and a brand new move called the ‘adrenaline dodge’ whereby Lara can target a rampaging foe in slow-motion – Matrix-style – and even score a kill with a single bullet. Highly dramatic stuff!

A full retail release is planned for later in the year but if you’ve already got Tomb Raider: Legend in your collection (if not, why not?) you can download Anniversary in four distinct and highly-digestible episodes, delivered as 2 “packs” of 2 episodes each– that’s a first For Xbox Live Marketplace. Honestly, it’s hard to be humble sometimes…

Basically if you still have Tomb Raider: legend stashed away you can download the extra Anniversary Content and just use the Tomb Raider Legend disc to play it, of course each segement will cost around 800 - 1,500 microsoft points.

However you could wait for the retail release of the game, either way you will near enough be paying the same, so i might hold out for a retail release, since i do not own tomb raider legend anymore.

Obsessive Time Crisis Fan!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Yep the picture of the "Time Crisis + Guncon" is what i own, however it did not come with the japanese Time Crisis game, still its a bargin for £5, considering the gun is in good condition and the box is in pritty decent shape, considering the scruffs on the corners.

Anyway with Time Crisis 4 heading to the PS3 (confirmed) and the pre-orders popping up on more sites, including play-asia, i decided to bid, win and buy this thing off ebay. Not because of it being Time Crisis, or because it is japanese, because of the Guncon (G-Con 45 in uk). Its because its Black and lighter than the standard Grey version we recieved over in the UK, it being part of a time crisis package is an added bonus.

However sadly i missed my chance on a Japanese Time Crisis 2 set (mint condition) on ebay the other day. But overall theres nothing better than playing the originals down at the arcade (or trying to dual-wield on your own).

Guiter Hero 3 to Be released on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 and Wii!!!

Redoctanes first (well second) major Next-gen release will be coming home to all 3 next-gen platforms. According to Play-asia the hard rocking game will be making its way to the Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, each with their own guitar.

PS2 Owners will not feel left out either as it is coming onto the PS2 aswell.

No information regarding the songs, however if i remember correctly after the Guitar Hero 2 360 release the head guys at redoctane were planning on bringing out a Wireless Guitar and Online Play. Whether or not they will include this in the final version is still a mystery.

So far the current prices (for each one) is $129.90 with the guitar (bit steep for the PS2 Version), and rather steep considering Time Crisis 4 is supposed to be $90, the release date for the game has also been announced as October 2007.

Ghost Squad Coming Soon to Nintendo Wii!

SEGA's Arcade "Terrorist" Shoot-em-up is heading to the Nintendo Wii.

It has just recently been announced, so do not expect to see it on the shelves soon.

According to what ive read the game will contain the original Story Mode (with a few tweaks) aswell as an all new story mode and some additional stuff (probably stuff like training levels).

yet again this is a 2-Player game on 1 screen and so far you will not need to buy an additional accessories as all you will need is your Wii Remote, just hole it like a gun and FIRE! An additional accessorie may be released to make the wii-mote feel more like a gun, but for now its time to wiiiii away with the wii-mote.

No release date has been announced (or expected release date), however the game will probably retail at around £40 - £50.

Time Crisis 4 + Guncon 3 Confirmed for PS3!

As Posted a few months ago that Amazon, Gamestop and EBgames listed Time Crisis 4 + Guncon for $90 onto their websites, yet it was still a rumour, well a month later and that rumour has now "sort of" been confirmed.

Japanese Games Magazine Famitsu lead an interesting article about the upcoming game and asked Namco/Bandi about it. Well form an unexpected point of view this time they actually confirmed that Time Crisis 4 would be coming to the PS3 and it would be a PS3 Exclusive (heard that before) and that a new Guncon will be developed for it, and they are calling it, no surprise here folks, Guncon 3.

The Magazine also stated that Time Crisis 4 would be a straight port of the original arcade version (apart from maybe some tweaks and graphical impovements) and would include another "story mode" where you play as captain rush, however no other information about the game has been released, except that the game will be released in japan by the end of this year, but no confirmation about the USA or UK release.

So good news so far but what about the gun? nothing too serious has been said about the gun, however YES it will work on LCD's and Plasmas thanks to some new technology, however from the looks of the gun (image below) that gun will be wired and not wireless (however only time will tell).

im not sure about anyone else, but i am really looking forward to this game! i enjoyed it at the arcade, but the only problem was that half of the machines i went on something was broke on them (either sound, pedal or recoil - or even miles off target). So for me this is what i bought a PS3 For and would buy it even if it means spending £80 on the bloody thing!

LG Release The "Super Multi Player!" - PLAYS EVERYTHING!

Electric giants LG Electronics have "quietly" released there HD-DVD + BLU RAY + DVD + VCD Player to the world, however it will cost you around £1000 , not too bad considering its the first HD DVD + BLU RAY machine available.

LG's new "BEAST" is called the "LG Super Multi Player" - as it does play near enough everything from VCDs to HD-DVD, to Blu-rays (as well as standard DVDs). Not only that it upscales normal DVDs to 1080i/1080p resolution and can connect to the TV via HDMI, Component & SCART (whats the point?).

However it is still abit pricey (chart below):

Price Chart: LG Supermulti Player = £1000

or

PS3 = £400

XBOX 360 + HD DVD Drive = £300 (min), £370 (max)

Saving = £300 (max) , £230 (min)

So atm its still cheaper to purchase the PS3 and XBOX360 with HD-DVD Drive, than it is buying the LG Supermulti Player.

However LG have already confirmed that a newer, slimer and better model (as well as cheaper) will be out within the next 3 months.

Is Resistance Fall Of Man, going to Fall?

Just heard on news (and read online) that one of the main chruch's in english (and its followers) are moaning and causing a row over the Game "Resistance: Fall Of Man" on the PS3 for these main reasons:

1) No permission was gave to use The Cathedral design in the game

2) Killing Happens (as well as lots of cool action) happens in and around the cathedral.

Basically the church lovers are wanting the game to be REMOVED from the shelves as its giving that church a bad name and not representing it in a good way.

full story = http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/manchester/6736809.stm

Fair Enough that sony did not get permission to use the design, but in war ANYWHERE is a battlefield, it even said during the cut-scene, in the game, that this building was used as a mini-hospital wen at war, then the aliens attacked.

Jeez im not sure what they are moaning bowt - there is a dangerous killer on the loose (that ive only heard on kerrange radio!) , but they are moaning about a 15 rated game. but for once it aint a ROCKSTAR Game ROFL!

Naruto To Be Released On XBOX 360 this Autumn!

To have witnessed ninja student Naruto in action is to become a lifelong fan. Believe us when we tell you that “Naruto: Rise of a Ninja” is being created by fans for fans.

Naruto’s enchanting home of Konoha Village is presented in its entirety, exclusively for Xbox 360 for gamers to live and breathe. With Rise of a Ninja spinning like a shuriken in the disc drive you’ll accompany Naruto Uzumaki through exploits based on the first 80 episodes of the hit animation series.
Although based on a cult Japanese animation show Naruto for Xbox 360 is being developed in North America by French publisher Ubisoft. However these guys are Naruto maniacs whose dream has been to realise Naruto’s unique ninja lifestyle as a wildly entertaining videogame. Everything included in Rise of a Ninja is approved by Studio Pierrot, creators of the original animation series. Attention to detail extends to the inclusion of the original voice actors from the TV show, recognisable in every language… and that includes Japanese with subtitles for the purists!

Our recent demonstration of the game by Ubisoft showed Naruto approach master Kakashi for instruction. Kakashi-sensei challenged Naruto to run vertically up a tree trunk, requiring ninja magic to perform, activated by a Hand Seal using motions on both analogue sticks. We also saw Naruto leap between the trees at hair-raising speed in pursuit of another mission to fight his famous rival student Neji Hyuga.

Combat in Naruto: Rise of a Ninja is ultra fast with magic attacks unlocking hard-hitting combos or strikes focused on enemy weak spots. Battles can be taken onto Xbox LIVE versus friends, with many popular Naruto characters to choose from.

This autumn we’re supremely confident Naruto: Rise of a Ninja will give fans of the series everything you could wish for.
Great News For Anime and Naruto fans alike - i can't wait :D
