Time Crisis 4 for PS3 Out November 13th?!?!

Namco's Latest (and possibly the best) Aracde Shooter Series "Time Crisis 4" was released into arcade in June 2006.

Well just recently EBGames, Gamestop (owned by same firm) and Amazon.com Have all listed Time Crisis 4 +Guncon for the PS3 for 90 USD (45 GBP) - which is a great price! to be released on November 13th 2007.

No-one knows for sure whether or not it will be released on that day or if its just the companies making random release dates.

Gamespot asked Namco regarding the release date (and price) yet namco only replied with "We Do Not Comment on any rumours or speculation of any kind" - A Tad harsh in my opinion as ive been hoping for a console port as most of the TC4 Machines i have played on, have been broke in some way.

So there you have it, for now us TC fans could only look forward and hope that it is released on that day, if not alot of people will be un-happy (me included).

King Kong (Xbox 360) - For only 97p!

Yep - You Read the title correctly, one of the Xbox 360's first ever games "King Kong" is now available for only 97p from Currys, Dixons and PC World (DSGi Plc).
In my eyes its a bargin at 97p - as the game has a rather easy 1000 gamer points (most easiest 800 points if you use the cheats). And once you have finished the game you can trade it in at gamestation and get about £6, so thats a profit of £5.03 - so its worth it.

As far as im aware of this is "in-store" price only, so don't expect to find it on Currys (etc) websites at that price.

Xbox 360 Spring Update Now Available!

The Latest (and possibly best) Xbox 360 Update has arrived, and unlike Sony's PS3 and PSP they have no firmware Numbers, they are just called Updates.

Anyway the latest update for the Xbox 360 has arrived and it comes with more than you can imagine. The MSN Feature, that to start off with was a rumour, is now here.

Basically you sign into your MSN account on your Xbox 360 and it adds your MSN Friends list to your Xbox Friends list, however the good news is that when you sign out of the MSN Feature it removes your msn friends list and reverts back to the normal Xbox Friends List.

This means you can now chat with people on MSN while gaming, ive tried it and its pritty fun. Another major feature is that the Xbox Live Marketplace now has its own slide (like Video, Demos etc had). - so it makes it even easier browsing the new downloads.

There has also been a whole host of new features added and improved and you can see the full list here.

Melting Pot Month 2 Beging At N-Gage Arena

The Keep the hype of the N-Gage going till the next-gen games arrive, which hopefully should be towards the end of 2007, The N-Gage Arena have been hosting a variety of monthly torunaments using the popualr games such as Tiger Woods, Worms World Party, Pathway To Glory and High Seize.

Well now they are using Melting Pot as the theme (for the 2nd time) - basically each event will be a different online game - so it gives a chance for everyone to have a go and win, so if you aren't good in Pathway To Glory, but your good in Tiger Woods, here is your time to shine.

The Melting Pot Month 2 has already begun, so head over to the N-Gage Arena to take part!

Game Buys Gamestation out for £74 Million

Europe's biggest videogame retailer, GAME, has announced that it's acquired major high street competitor Gamestation in a deal worth £74 million.

This buy out adds a further 217 stores to GAME's 406 shops in the UK and Eire, although Gamestation will continue to operate under its own name in an effort to keep both brand identities separate. GAME chairman Peter Lewis cited Gamestation's high reputation among the hardcore gaming community as playing a key part in the deal. "We are delighted to bring Gamestation into our portfolio and believe it has a strong future within the group," said Lewis. "The Gamestation business is one we have long admired and is complementary to our existing business in terms of both store portfolio and target customers."

Original Report can be found here.

Might be a dark day for gamers (thats if prices change) as i prefer Gamestation over GAME, espically due to the Credit Note Scheme.

Largest Arcade Machine Ever!

I Went to skeggness (again) last weekend and i stumbled across this BEAST of an arcade machine called "OUTRUN 2 SP Deluxe".

I Remember Reading about a special OUTRUN 2 Aracde Machine being Released in Japan, but i never expected it to be seen in the UK!

Basically its the size of 4 Arcade machines (you could easily fit Time Crisis 1 - 4 (Small Screen Versions) and still have room.

The Cabinet itself consists of 4 Life Size Ferrari Cars (that tilt and turn when you move the sterring wheel, which can be turned off), it also has 4 50" Monitors (Probably LCD / Rear Projection) for each player and one widescreen 23'" screen at the top - which displays the current selected cars driver (yep the ferraris each have a camera). And to top it all off each car has 2 steering wheels, so you friend (or partner) can play 2 player in one car. This works by reaching checkpoints (next driving section) - if this mode is selected it will move to the 2nd Wheel. Can be amusing if you are not expecting it.

While at skeggness i saw this machine 3 times, each costing £2 per go (which isn't surprsing considering the size) - however its the same game as OUTRUN 2 and OUTRUN 2006: COAST TO COAST which have been released on PSP, PS2 and XBOX - so if you have already played the console versions there aint much point playing the arcade version - but it is fun!
