Well nintendo have finally done it - they first released the "Shop channel" when the console was released on 8th december, then halfway through december the "Forecast" Channel was available and now the "NEWS" Channel is now available.

IHaven't tried it out yet, however i have been told it shows you the most recent news headlines (for everything).

As well as news releating nintendo game releases.Not only that Mario Kart 64 has been uploaded onto the Wii Shop channel, with a cost of 1,000 Wii points - no surprise there (but not only that you can use the gamecube controller with - pritty sweet huh?).

Finally Completed Gears Of War on INSANE difficulty!

Gears Of War is Microsofts (and Epic Games) greatest Next gen title since Halo, is a 360 owners dream. It was made using the Unreal Engine (same one which is being used for Unreal Tournament 2007) and has some sweet action as well as replay value with the co-operative option.

Well few weeks back i completed the game (by myself) on Casual (easiest difficulty setting), however over the past week i have been playing co-operatively none-stop trying to do the INSANE difficulty (hardest of the hardest settings) - well after 4 days of long nights i finally managed to complete it on insane mode, fair enough its only 30 archievement points per level then 30 archievement points for completeing the game - but it was Sweet!

Nokia N-Gage Futurewatch Website Now up and running!

Nokia's latest side website / blog has recently opened up. The Whole idea of the site "Futurewatch" is to let Nokia & N-Gage fans know what is coming up in the future in terms of mobile gaming and new handsets (such as the N-Series which have recently been released worldwide).

The N-Gage is moving from a hardware (the N-Gage / QD Gamedeck with MMC Game Cards) to a software, virtual platform - hence the introduction of the "Nokia Game Shop" where games can be purchased for as little as 10 Euros.

In the future nokia will "hopefully" plan to release new titles via this game shop and these games will be installed onto your shiny new N-Series (or newer) phone.

The Futurewatch website is the place to be to find out the latest information (some sections are still under development) - so check it out here.

Not only that if you would like to, you could post your comments on the N-Gage Arena "Futurewatch" forum, which is located here.

Finally Got Hold Of A 360 HD DVD Drive

The Xbox 360 HD (High Definition) DVD Drive - was released on 8th December 2006 - And it has been one of the MOST sought after item for 360 Owners, however very limited stock were released into the UK.

The Retail price of this unit is £129.99, and when it originally came out , it came with a King Kong HD DVD, now it does not - but the media remote is still included.

Many Retailers such as Comet, Currys, Game are still struggling to get hold of this DVD Drive (yep, its RARER than a nintendo Wii), but why the hype? - well the unit costs £130 (and requries an Xbox 360 console to use) - however a normal HD DVD Player currently costs £500 - so if you already have an xbox 360 and you love films, then its the ideal purchase, if you haven't got a 360 console but you want this drive, it still works out cheaper than buying just the HD DVD Player on its own.

The 360 HD DVD Drive contains the following things:

* 360 HD DVD Drive
* Universal Remote
* Power Cable
* USB Cable
* Installation CD
* 2x AA Batteries
* Manual

Since i do not have any HD-DVD Movies i can't test the quality, however i did insert a standard DVD and it looked alot clearer than my LG DVD Upscaler which is running at 720p through HDMI, yet my 360 HD-DVD Drive is "apparently" running at 1080i through Component.

HD-DVD Films can be bought from gamestation and HMV (as well as play.com) from £17.99 - £34.99, depending on the film and what it includes, all in all the unit is very small and well worth the buy.

Lost Planet Released in UK

The First "next-gen" game for 2007 in the UK has arrived and its no other than CAPCOM's "Lost Planet: Extreme Condition".

A fair amount of people have been waiting for this game since early last year (me included) and since we had a long wait, Capcom and microsoft did not fail in providing us some "material" to play with, this included the 2 Level Demo which was available for download shortly after E3 2006, and then just as Gears Of War got released (one of 360 finest games i might add) they released a "Online Multiplayer Demo" - just to give us a taste on what online play will be like.

Well the wait is finally over and you may be asking - "Is the game as good and realistic as the demos / videos we have seen - or better?" - well depending on your TV and HD Input depends on the answer, however the answer is YES! it is the same (graphical-wise) and the gameplay is just as fun!

Lost Planet is a definate buy for shoot-em up fans and the "Collectors Edition" is a better buy, as it includes bonus material such as Trailers, Songs, Wallpapers and Themes for your PC, but not only that it also includes a "SPECIAL" downloadable online map for your 360 (which won't be released to the general public till mid 2007.

Lost Planet is out now (worldwide) and retails for around £39.99 - £49.99 (depending which version you buy or where you buy it from). - if you are still thinking about buying the game here is the E3 Trailer to get you "warmed" up:
