Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays

All digital, direct to your living room gaming is here with Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays.

Frogger gets the royal treatment as the first game available this Wednesday, 12th July at 0900 GMT and at the same time in the following weeks you’ll be able to download brand new Xbox Live Arcade titles from Xbox Live Marketplace. Following Frogger will be games including Cloning Clyde, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting, Galaga and Pac-Man to satisfy your hunger for games without having to leave the sofa. If that wasn’t enough, there will also be new Xbox Live Marketplace gamer pictures and themes to add a retro flavour to your Xbox 360.

Here’s the latest schedule of releases:

12th July – Frogger
19th July – Cloning Clyde
26th July – Galaga
2nd August – Street Fighter II’ Hyper Fighting
9th August – Pac-Man

It might be an old post - but thought id throw it in just in-case anyone hasn't read or heard about it. Ive got Frogger and its just as good as the original, my next Xbox Live Arcade game will be Galaga, then "Of course" street fighter 2 and then pac-man. The main arcade game im waiting for is Sonic The Hedgehog (the original Megadrive / Genesis Release) but that might come out sometime in november, when the 360 version is released.

Lex Luthors Opinion on Sony's PS3 Price

It aint animated its original footage from the new Superman Returns Movie, however Kaz Hirai has been edited in to make a perfect, but hilarious debate about the PS1 Emulation and PS3 Price.

Time Crisis 4 - Out Now In Japan Arcades

A few weeks back i posted (on this blog) that Time Crisis 4 would soon be coming to arcades.

Well it is now available in Japanese Arcades, some US Websites (and the USA Namco Website) still do not have much information on the game (such as its dimensions, graphics card and price) however the release date of "June" which namco gave out in E3 was correct.

So if you live in Japan you should try and hunt down the game, but for People living in the USA / UK, there has been no "release" date announced, however i expect the game to be released to the USA/UK Before 2007.

Below is small video footage of a japanese guy playing Time Crisis 4 (Dual Wield), yep he is playing both sides of the screen and using two guns (and foot pedals) all by himself.

Game Sum Up...

Ok - i haven't been posting much lately, as "to be honest" haven't really wanted to post or found anything decent about to post - but here is a sum up of some cool stuff.

* New Super Mario Brothers - Was recently on 26th June for the Nintendo DS and it is an amazing Game....i bought it on the Day of release and it feels exactly like the original Mario on the NES, except with 3D Characters and different options. If your a Platformer fan then you should definately get this.

* 360 Firmware Update - After the recent announcement of the 360 Dashboard getting an update, alot of 360 owners were jumping for joy, well the new update has been out for around 2 weeks and it is working very well.....just select all the downloads you want to download then play your game, by the time you have finished playing your game the downloads should be finished, and not only that everything is easier to find as everything is in its own catergory.

* Capcom Tease Us - With Recent news from E3 2006 that Microsoft will be releasing new XBOX LIVE ARCADE Games such as Street Fighter and Sonic, Microsoft has recently put on Xbox live market place some "Street Fighter Themes and Gamer pictures". It caught alot of people by surprise as they thought it was the arcade game, but it should hopefuly be released later in the year.

*PSP Continues to fail - Not much action happening on the PSP side of gaming, as of this moment i do not own a single PSP Game and MGA2 was abit of a flop and the 3D Goggle system was a waste of time aswell as ridiculious, however things will brighten up when Tekken hits the scene.

* New Games - PS2 is expecting to see a new Dragonball Z Game, "Super Dragonball Z" is a port of the Japanese DBZ Arcade game from japan, it features 13 Normal characters in a "Stage By Stage fight" and 8 Additional "unlockable" characters......including characters we haven't seen in a game before such as Chi-Chi. The 360's latest game will be "Chomehounds" which is released later this week with a retail price of £49.99 and an online retail price of £39.99, there is also a demo available on xbox live for download.

*Halo 3 / MGS4 - Bungies next generation game has got people's expectations high, espically with the "preview" they showed at E3 (shown below), however sources say the game won't be released till October 2007 - and Konami faces the same problem with metal gear, on the 15 minute trailer they released Konami could not make up there mind whether or not to release the game in 2006, 2007 or 2008, however most people anticpate that the game will be released somewhere in late 2007, most liekly the same time as Halo 3.
